Inca Tour

4 Days and 3 Nights

$675 – 1 Person

Cradle to the vast Incan Empire, the largest in pre-Colombian America, Peru’s power and gold attracted the Spanish conquistadors who used it to fund their own vast empire in the Americas. As a result, colonial gems like magnificent Cusco were built on Incan foundations, making for a fascinating hybrid culture. Peru is peppered with Incan sites, but none so famous as the “lost city” of Machu Picchu, whose breathtaking image seems to grace every brochure and travel book.

Get acquainted with the wonders of the Incas in this exhilarating introduction to Peru. Embrace cultures past and present in the hills surrounding Cusco and delight in the amazing views as you travel by rail to Machu Picchu. Taking the train will allow you lots of time to explore ruins, museums, and markets. We employ the best local guides so that you’re free to enjoy the beauty of the region.

DAY 2 - SACRED VALLEY

We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. to board the bus to the Sacred Valley.  This bus will take you to the town of Pisak, about 32 km/20 miles from Cusco.  Here you will visit an artisan market, where natives of the area make hand-made clothing and sell their native artifacts.  You will then have lunch at a typical Andean restaurant buffet.  After lunch you will visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo where you will see displays of amazing Inca architecture.  The tour will end at 4:00 p.m., after which  we will have three free hours during which you can explore the town and find a tasty dinner on your own.  We continue the tour at 7 p.m. and catch the train to Aguas Calientes, the town at Machu Picchu, and arrive at approximately 9:00 p.m.  The Machu Picchu tour guide will welcome you and will brief you on what to expect the following day, including the time you will go up to Machu Picchu and go over the details of the next day with you.
