We will depart at 5.00 am. We pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and drive to Cruzpata, where we will give you time for you to buy breakfast, we will start the hike – around 4 hours of walking and then a stop for lunch at Challabamba. After lunch we walk around 3 hours more before we arrive at our camp side, we will have dinner and camp on our first night.
We climbed the highest point in the hike. Our walk starts at 3,800masl, and the pass is at 4,600m. Then we are going to begin to descend, until our second camp side Colcapampa.
After breakfast we start our third day of hiking. We will walk along the Salkantay River, where we will see tropical forest, then we will arrive at the village La Playa where we have lunch. We are going to take a bus to arrive to our campsite Santa Teresa; we spend the afternoon enjoying the beautiful and relaxing hot springs
After our breakfast we will take the bus from Santa Teresa to Hidroelétrica. We will begin from here to Aguas calientes. It is going to take 3 hours, we will spend the night in a hotel in Aguas Calientes.
We get up early, at 5.00 am, to take the first bus (at 6.30 am) to Machu Picchu. We will have a guided tour of about 2.5 hours with the tour guide.
We need to be back in Aguas Calientes by around 2:00 pm (or It will depend on the schedule or the train service that you choose) to catch a train back to Ollantaytambo , and them some of our coworkers will be waiting for you, to drop you up in your hotel
